HOW NOCCI CAME TO BE

Read on to find out how I went from missing out to enjoying my favorite healthy drinks at home or on the go.

HI, MEET ME!

I love delicious drinks but they don't always love me back. Lots of my worst allergens like gluten, soy, corn starch, and cow's milk are in the yummy foods I crave. I found out the hard way that even healthy-sounding smoothies, plant milks, and juices contain ingredients I can't have. (darn it all)

One of my favourite things is almond milk. I love it in my tea, in my coffee and just as a refreshing drink. But when I'm travelling, at the office, or visiting family and friends, I either have to do without it or just use whatever I can find and hope it won't make me feel bad.

During trips and even sometimes if I'm just out and about for the day, I find myself wishing I could make my own almond milk or yummy smoothie if I'm craving something fresh.

I can't lug my big blender around with me on trips. My only choices are to do without or use what's available and risk feeling sick while I'm away from home. No fun!

At home, using a big blender or a giant, specialty appliance means I'm forced to make more than I need and might have to throw it out if it goes bad before I can drink it.

I started searching for a small travel blender that I could pack easily and use anywhere that would make fresh, filtered, pulp-free plant milks, juices, and delicious smoothies. You know what?

I COULDN'T FIND ONE.

So - you can guess what happened next. I decided to make one! A travel blender that would help me be healthy and stay healthy at home or on the go - without feeling deprived, risking sickness, or wasting ingredients.

And so, my Nocci adventure began. I knew a clever and adorable blender would need a clever and adorable mascot. Since my journey began with a desire to make my own almond milk, Nocci the squirrel was born. In Italian, "Nocci" (pronounced "No-CH-ee") is a word used to refer to nuts.

I realized if I was struggling this much to figure out how to enjoy fresh drinks on the go without lugging around a giant blender, others like me were probably struggling too. If I could solve this problem for myself, I could solve it for others too!

I knew it was time to take control of my health and help others do the same!

Being away from home shouldn’t mean you’re forced to accept the questionable ingredients of whatever’s available or miss out altogether because you don’t have an easy way to make it yourself.
